Since 1989, Clifton View Homes (CVH, Inc.) has been building exceptional custom homes and commercial buildings throughout Whidbey Island. Founded by nationally recognized designer and energy-efficiency expert Ted L. Clifton, the company established a reputation for quality craftsmanship, innovative design, and high-performance construction long before sustainability became an industry standard. In 2003, the business incorporated as CVH, Inc., doing business as Clifton View Homes, and has continued to grow and thrive through changing economic conditions and housing market cycles.
A key part of that success story is David Wallace, who joined the company in 1990 shortly after graduating from Oak Harbor High School. What began as a job quickly became a lifelong passion for building. Through his dedication, craftsmanship, and commitment to client satisfaction, David earned a partnership in the company in 2003. Today, he serves as Project Manager and Chief Operating Officer, leading projects with the same attention to detail and quality that have defined Clifton View Homes for more than three decades.
While Clifton View Homes is equipped to construct any type of residential or commercial project, the company has become especially known for its leadership in green building and energy-efficient construction. Working alongside its in-house design firm, Zero-Energy Plans, LLC, CVH has earned numerous national awards for excellence in sustainable design, energy efficiency, and green building practices. The company has also certified more homes to the SICBA Built Green® Five-Star standard than all other builders in the Skagit-Island County region combined.
